If you were considering JB as a long term “thing” that checks pretty much every box however are so easily offended by your first month or two of pay I don’t know what to tell you!

This is where the industry is in 2023.

I’ll take “things in 2007 I’d never dreamt I would have heard in for $500 Alex.”

“Sure Delta is great and all and I’ll get huge profit sharing checks and retire with $5 million dollars, but they make you cover the costs of your own hotel in training. Really kills my vibe.”

Back in 2007 JetBlue would hire CRJ First Officers with only 6,000 or 7,000 hours and no TPIC… but the FO would need to go buy an ATP rating before they’d get the JetBlue interview.

Kids today are scratching their heads wondering “Why would a CRJ FO have 7,000 hours?”

-Pay for training
-Gulfstream. The only airline in the world where the FO was paying more than the passengers.
-Colgans ATP written interview test followed by NDB holds in a level D beech 1900 sim to make $18 an hour.

Off my soapbox. Was a fun trip down memory lane lads. Now get off my lawn.

Shave a couple thou off the top and add it to the training pay. Pretty simple.

Also being treated like **** by companies in the past is not an excuse to excuse it now. Being taken advantage of is being taken advantage of regardless of the year.

Delta may pay you $8300, but do they put you up in a collaborative, culture building, wonderland or provide you with healthy meals in a relaxed environment so all you need to worry about is nothing at all?

Truly. That's the type of guy who is going to vote "yes" to the crappy first offer on the next contract.
