jetBlue Hiring
More stable than a 91/135 job during an economic recession. We made it through Covid without any furloughs, so i think we can handle a recession. Famous last words, I know.

Just leave on good terms. Give good notice, work hard in your last few weeks and keep your friends there. Don’t point any fingers as to why you’re leaving, just that you want to try something new. If you make good on your end of the bargain and things go south, they will welcome you back if they have any character.

I have done the fingerprinting and drug test stuff. I know that most in my interview group(8/23)have been given class dates.

Agreed on the first point.
No furlough due to Payroll Support Program. Will be no such support provided in a run-of-the-mill recession.
Also, Mergers and acquisitions usually result in consolidation prior to a resumption in growth.

The legacies are losing so many pilots a year that even during a recession they would likely have to begin hiring again in about 18 months.
Attrition off the top for them, would accomplish a 10% shrinking of the pilot group in that time frame. At which point we start losing pilots again.
