I have an interview Monday with a legacy. I start class Wednesday at JetBlue. I got the interview today.

I’m assuming if JetBlue sees a Pria request from said legacy while I’m in training then I’m immediately fired? I’m sure the legacy will need to send them one, but maybe not. I don’t know. Really stressing me out.

Obviously they don’t send Prias till I get a CJO but just because I get a CJO doesn’t mean I’ll make it on property with them.

I’m sure a CJO will come with a class date in which case you inform Jetblue of your decision to leave. Or your decline your CJO. At some point you have to commit to one or the other.

Yes. And you bid what you want but it’s based on age within your class and what the class drop is. If you’re old you’ll get bus. If you’re young who knows.

Dont stress it. We get guys leaving for legacies during training all the time. Good luck on the interview.

In your opinion, if I get a CJO at the legacy, should I stick it out with JetBlue until closer to my legacy class date or just leave immediately?

Don’t be between jobs for too long if you can help it. Especially in this volatile market. First thing airlines do are cancel classes. I don’t foresee that happening but but by being cautious it’ll help you sleep at night.

No Chit!

Give the absolute minimum notice necessary to avoid negative repercussions from the former employer. Talk to your union peeps about how B6 handles resignations, employers can have different philosophical approaches. Ideally you want to be eligible for re-hire, but in some cases they hold a grudge and the bridge is burned regardless. In that case I might give as little as seven days... that's probably enough to be defensible to the new employer. Walking off with zero notice is not defensible and could get you "un-hired".

I was between jobs years ago, turned on the TV one morning and saw airplanes crashing into tall buildings... Fortunately for me, .mil was hiring operators by the end of the week.
