Is there anything that can be done about that? Seriously, the percentage is ridiculous. Not reflecting normal demographic at all.
The customer experience is effected by the flaming attitude. Same with gate agents. Both males and females.
I understand their job is stressful, but I have been seeing some real poor customer service lately.
Our customers chose to fly with us, they don't have to. If we don't offer something different, why not using Spirit? Or AA?
We can't have people with no real stake in the company ruining the jetBlue experience, if we downsize, they can start another job for whatever they make now. We lose seniority, longevity, etc etc.

I know. But the building in question is in MCO.

I like the idea, use it for other work groups, pilots need to stay there much longer, we should stay in the hotels.
By the way, the Staybridge was convenient, but the was the worst out of the other extended stay in the area.

My guess is our first CBA will address this issue.

If they want to use this for other work groups, fine. But pilots need to stay in long stay hotels.

And I agree....the newbs are sipping the blue juice pretty hard right now....that's understandable. They're excited to be here. The realism will hit them soon enough.

Don't get me wrong, it's still a great place to work, but there's a LOT of work to do to make this place a destination and not a stepping stone for so many...

This whole thing has me aggravated. Having the wife come visit a few times for a day or two during initial training was a nice change. Sure beat jumpseating home during the longer breaks during the sim and was like a mini-vacation for her. Also, what good is a common kitchen with shared refrigerators? Inflight and AO/GO will be stealing your food before you can even eat it... if you can get a ride to a store to buy it in the first place.

This whole "togetherness" thing might be great for inflight and the ops people, but I say leave it to them and let us stay where we had been. I can handle 3 days for recurrent, but when I eventually go to the bus or upgrade the lodge alone is enough to make me not looking forward to training.
Straight from the front desk at the lodge. No non-JetBlue guests allowed into the rooms, guests are only allowed to come into the dining hall area.

Just like freshman year of college I guess. Will hot plates be banned as well then?

Is there a family or handicap bathroom in the dining hall area?

The current class is definitely not in the lodge yet. It is open for certain testers. The next class 05-15 will be the first official class to be there.

Thumbs down

This whole lodge thing will definitely have to be addressed. It is such a step backwards for the pilot group that newbies should really not be commenting on it. Just because it's better than a tent in Iraq or some xyz crap regional doesn't make it right.

I think the lack of communication from the company reminds me of the decision to change our insurance, overtime pay and this whole bonus system for new hires.
Once again so happy we have a union on property...

So let me get everyone's honest opinion:

If you've been at JB for less than a year or 2, would you have any reason to stay if Delta or AA offered you a job?
