A FLICA schedule is different than an awarded schedule. I've traded into a 22 day stretch once to make 155 credit hours in one month. My original line had 17 days off and 75 hours. But that was self inflicted.
I see a handful of guys getting 7-9 days of flying in a row, but they still have 15 days off in the month. I'm looking at every base on our crew planning website.

Equipment and base is based on class seniority which is determined by age. Oldest being the most senior and getting first choice. Our junior base is usually BOS 190 but i think classes have been pretty Airbus heavy as of late since the 190 fleet has stopped growing. Airbus junior bases are BOS and JFK.
When was the most Jr. FO in FLL hired?

You are not playing the game well enough. We can all agree that the reserve grid eventually goes black or red on 90% of every Friday - Sunday period. So, be aggressive and bid off for every Friday - Sunday. If you don't get it, set alerts to know when the reserve grid changes and immediately swap out of your weekend reserve.
Some Captains that play this game make $225-250,000 on reserve. When a bad weather system is approaching any of our big hubs, you can GUARANTEE that all reserves will be flown and anyone on VDA is going to get a call. So watch the weather and if a storm forecast looks solid, trade your reserve days to be off then, and then place yourself on VDA.
Let's not forget about EPS pay also. That's 5 hours at 190% above guarantee if your pairing is modified and extended outside of the footprint by at least 1 minute. Yes, 1 minute outside your footprint and you've made a gob of money.
VDA, EPS, REL, LCR and PTO sell back is a gravy train for those on reserve who live in base.

Break-break. Congrats to those awaiting class dates! Hope to welcome you aboard soon.

I agree , I would never count on those types of pay as they happen pretty seldom. Sure when a irop hits more so, but that isn't that often, I sell back 10 hours of PTO every month but I don't count on it from here on out, never know when your gonna need it for some major injury and deplete it in 2 seconds .
To play it smart , 75 guarantee times your pay rate. That's it , anything more than that is play to hide from the wife.

Of course the question is, how will the optimum schedule manipulation work(or not work) under ALPA? Not flame baiting just wondering what the impact will be?

You kids crack me up. The trips have deteriorated so much over the years. Enjoy picking up a 10 hour 3 day to the DR. There used be copious amounts of open time, but as everything else at JetBlue that has been manipulated and controlled.

Very true, but in all of 2014 we hired around 300+ and less than a half dozen were given the option of FLL/LGB. It is possible, but i dont think any newhires should be going into class expecting any of these slots.

I strongly believe the real concern for new hires and those of us here is ALPA caving in like it has for the legacy carriers and allowing its other 'ALPA' regionals to fly JetBlue aircraft and routes. If we don't protect ourselves and get the best scope language we can (even tho it is never 100% protection), what's the point?...
Jetblue is a great place to be even tho there are some that come on here only when they can spread doom and gloom.
