$1,900,000,000,000 = over $5700 per every human occupant of the the US. There's so much cheddar being printed, it's gotta go somewhere into someone's pocket.

5700 for every occupant of the US assuming the bill was only for US tax payers...but don’t forget we have important overseas diversity and gender programs.

Another way to look at it is, by average, this costs every individual $5,700.... and some may get back 1,400. The gov does not have money. They just play with ours.

Or another way to look at it - the the government creates the money based on our expected production, and then gets it back through taxes, fees, and tariffs. IF the economic output looks like it will return the money, inflation remains stable.

Nothing ever changes. Trump adds debt like a drunken sailor for 4 years and the debt "hawks" say nothing, and you don't get debt lectures in a thread about JetBlue. As soon as a D gets elected it's an emergency again.

Ur right nothing ever changes, way to bring Trump to the thread! U seem to have a short memory, remember a few months ago when the Ds and Rs in congress wrapped up a pork filled omnibus around a covid relief bill and dared Trump to veto it? Even my liberal friends were outraged with the BS that was buried in it (remember millions for gender studies in Pakistan, water resources in the Tibetan Plateau, $700m to Sudan) The problem is Congress, both Ds and Rs and they use division, bribing and pandering to various groups of us to stay in power indefinitely. The greater good no longer guides them, hence the frustration. The person at the top is simply a last ditch fail safe with veto power if the Congress isnt 2/3s in favor of something.

When is Uncle Joe going to pay off my student/ flight training loans? Disclaimer...they’re very small now but not another dime until I see if Uncle Sugar cashes me out!😅

I guess I didn’t.... u don’t agree congress is much more the problem than the person at the top. They are the ones who stuff the spending bills full of crap.... time to start pushing for an Article V convention.
