Or another way to look at it - the the government creates the money based on our expected production, and then gets it back through taxes, fees, and tariffs. IF the economic output looks like it will return the money, inflation remains stable.

Nothing ever changes. Trump adds debt like a drunken sailor for 4 years and the debt "hawks" say nothing, and you don't get debt lectures in a thread about JetBlue. As soon as a D gets elected it's an emergency again.

U seem to have a short memory, remember a few months ago when the Ds and Rs in congress wrapped up a pork filled omnibus around a covid relief bill and dared Trump to veto it? Even my liberal friends were outraged with the BS that was buried in it. The problem is Congress, both Ds and Rs and they use division, bribing and pandering to various groups of us to stay in power indefinitely. The greater good no longer guides them, hence the frustration. The person at the top is simply a last ditch fail safe with veto power if the Congress isnt 2/3s in favor of something.
