Looks like MCO/BOS/JFK is on the right track. Unfortunately we still have weak, short sighted 197 council who believes that changing MEC Chair prior to contract negotiations is foolish and would be ill advised. CK is going to fail absolutely epically, not to mention the company already walks all over him and our union.

Still a pretty terrible time to be negotiating....We're losing money and Covid seems to be the gift that keeps giving.

But wait, all the company bootlickers said during last negotiations that we can’t negotiate profit sharing during good times…yet no PS with the LOA for biggest deal (NEA) that jetblue has ever had during the worst financial times jetblue has ever had. And we are at record attrition rates right now and we need to do something to curb that. And inflation is through the roof. And they wanna grow. Not a terrible time to be negotiating imo.

oh, and I don’t think we will lose money after Q4.

I was actually thinking the same exact thing. Between the aggressive growth and major attrition, a contentious contract battle is not what JB needs right now. They need bodies, and right now United and Delta are hiring at unprecedented levels. We also have a possible labor dispute looming. I guess we’ll see what happens.

Where are you guys hearing the attrition rate is at record highs? I’m not surprised due to legacy hiring, but I just hadn’t heard anything official.

Anecdotal on my end. About 40% of my class is gone. That’s fact, but I’m hearing many more have left or are leaving.

wow. 40% is crazy. How long had that class been on property?

It’s not . 80ish people left this year . Including 20 something retirements . Attrition is exactly at what the company planned for this year .
