JetBlue Latest and Greatest
The company couldn’t care less what our attrition is. There will always be thousands of applicants, and company gateways. Every negotiating cycle people think attrition will twist the companies hand to a better contract. It’s a calculated cost number, they will not care until planes literally stop moving because of the lack of pilots, which will never happen with how many pilots gobble up premium, vda, rsa to work 10-12 days off a month just to make close to what our peers make on a regular line.

I’m sure no one truly knows, but if there were a merger how would an integration go if it was American. Also I know of plenty of people leaving for AA, UA, and DL with plenty seniority here. Above 80 percent doesn’t get you much movement if you’re in any base outside JFK and BOS. I could see why younger guys leave for those. Probably better seniority in any of those after a year than if they remained here. There’s no growth anywhere but the Northeast. Thank god for the northeast alliance amirightttttt

It’ll be a hybrid of those. Lots of fences.

The DOJ is trying to derail a limited (two market) codeshare between JetBlue and American and some people think a full on merger has better than a snowball's chance in hell? Thanks for the laugh.

Oh, you’re welcome for the laugh though 😉
Then there was the American/TWA. Staples of majors are now illegal. Big offset and furlough of pilots. Pure staple and furlough of FA.
If you’re referring to my post specifically, I was mostly being facetious. But I’ll bite anyway. I highly doubt anything will come of that DOJ lawsuit. They’d have to prove that the consumer public was being harmed by the agreement, which in reality it looks like the exact opposite is happening. The only thing that concerns me is the blatant CBA violation under this agreement. At best, the arbiter rules in our favor and we take the company to court, which will drag out for years. Feet to the fire, I’d say there’s a much better chance than a snowball in hell that we end up merged, bought, whatever in the next 5-10 years. Pure conjecture though. If it did happen, i have no doubt it won’t be favorable to our group.
