Come to think of it, in 10 years I don’t think I’ve ever used my travel benefits myself for leisure purposes.
I travel all over with my wife using travel
bennies and it’s a huge QOL perk for us. Different strokes for different folks I guess!

My family has never flown on JetBlue. We live to far from the ocean.

We use the travel benefits regularly. Luckily where we go mostly is Focus city to Focus city so lots of service on our own metal. Went to London last month, that was awesome.

Default LAX flying

I'm a west coaster and I’ve got an interview lined up. I understand that the LAX base has a lot of red eye flying, but could anybody share what a typical trip actually looks like? Is it equivalent to flying for UPS in the dark? Also, are there contractual changes allowing trip dropping down to a minimal number of hours? TIA.

-Redeye transcon just about every leg, day sleep in a noisy airport hotel.

-you could say it’s like UPS or FedEx…just without the UPS or FedEx paycheck

-Contract absolutely allows dropping to bare minimum…but that’s the only thing that says you’re allowed to do it because flica or scheduling won’t.

You can pick out LA crews pretty easy walking through T5 in the morning as the poor guys look like a scene from the Walking Dead. If you’re west coast, want to stay there, and value your health, there are Legacy’s hiring.
