I don’t see the benefit. Breeze makes an operational profit by serving underserved airports with no direct competition. Their average fare is $39-$79. If jetblue takes over those routes it can’t afford to operate them at those prices. Even with 20% increase I still doubt it. Many of Breeze routes are not daily either so you’d buy an airline for the planes? I don’t really see this one just yet.

I was going to say the same thing. There is nothing breeze is doing that we can’t do right now. It would just be a plane grab. I don’t see it.

JetBlue can’t realistically take over those routes. Point to point flying is very difficult for us operationally. We can get away with a few instances but no way to do the stuff Breeze does without having small crew bases scattered along the east coast.

Jetblue has strong brand recognition in NE and Florida in particular. How many JB card holders are becoming Breeze frequent fliers because they live closer to these secondary cities and aren’t traveling to a hub city like BOS/JFK/FLL/MCO?

Yea, planes aren’t necessarily our problem. Route network (lack thereof) is.

Especially not more ********y A220’s. Whatever gains we make operationally with A14, the A220 erases it. Get out of here with that thing.

cant blame them when our operation melts down on a CAVU day. Breeze actually has a decent product

Absolutely bonkers. Operated multiple very late flights and it took us over an hour to turn each one. These were 320's, yet somehow we can't deplane and reboard with any sense of urgency when we're running 2+ hours late. One point we were sitting up front figuring out why the plane was completely empty after being cleaned and catered more than 10 min prior during a turn.

I don't think more 220s would be bad but I can't see why we would want to go in that direction when we're chasing premium customers and pushing premium products.

They absolutely show no initiative to make up time.
We had a plane the other day where the auto brake switch would not stay in place. Called it in 30 mins prior to boarding. I look it up you can Mel it great let’s board this will be done quick. Mx comes out plays with the switch I’m like we can Mel it. Oh I know but let’s see if we can fix it. Starts digging through the computer stuff. I’m like it’s the physical switch because when you turn it the computer shows it’s on, it just won’t stay. Ok I guess I’ll go get some tools. 5 mins to departure he looks at the other guy and is like do you know how to fix this? Nope. I’m like guys YOU CAN MEL IT I don’t need it. Oh we can Mel it, yeah let’s do that. SMH.

But wait here is where it gets fun. They post a delay because of MX but we are ready at departure time. Guess what the ground crew scattered. It took 30 mins to get our ground crew back who left 5 mins ago.

We took a large delay for no reason. (Yes I submitted a pointless report)

They just sent out an email congratulating themselves for handing out 400,000 Lift Awards in 2025. Clearly everyone is doing a great job.

The 220 is a new plane… I’m all for pitchforking the company but give it a minute. I think if you went a scaled up version of what United did with the CRJ “550” there would be some interest. Make the overhead bins to allow bags to be put on their side too, that seems to be the biggest shortcoming on our 220 cabin in my limited experience opinion.
