That pairing is no bueno.
I just read BP and came over here thinking... "Does Smittey have another account on APC?" 😂

I came over here and read it and even I questioned my sanity momentarily.

I was just looking over the pairings for BSQ and it's absolutely stupid what they're trying to do. There's a handful of pairings that have you flying a domestic leg and then swapping jets and flying to London. One of them you're doing Rochester-JFK and have a 1hr turn to then go to London. There's a couple others that make no sense, like a day 3 limo to BOS from ORH with a 45 minute turn to then operate to Amsterdam. SQ pairings are suppose to have a 90 minute prior report time for briefings and prep. Maybe they'll adjust the times but I'm scratching my head at some of this stuff. The ROC flight I can't see being adjusted because the flight times are scheduled already. So basically you need to be on time, then go meet your crew to have a proper ETOPS briefing prior to doing a crossing, all within 1 hour?

There's also a lot of day 2 ending in JFK late (After midnight) and then going to Europe the next day. An 0030 arrival into JFK puts you into the hotel well after 0100 and that's if the flight is on time into JFK, which is a crapshoot at that time of night. Yes, you have a late report for the EU flight, but the beauty of international flying is you normally get a good night sleep the day prior, then take an afternoon nap prior to report. The above scenario puts you in a spot where you're probably not sleeping great that night and then you need to daysleep on top of it before that night flight. Yes, "Fatigue" is the magic word, but the company is setting pilots up for failure.

I agree that this won't last forever, but I'd also rather not tick off our customers, especially those who are paying a lot of money to fly to Europe while we're trying to up our NPS scores and our on-time numbers. I can't imagine that would be a very accepting PA. "Sorry our Paris flight is late, our previous flight from ROC had a mechanical and we needed time to get food here before flying you across the pond."
3 days after the fact they found out that a problem with the “business partner” created trips that were not FAR compliant….. What? You chose this package over another that was created. Did you not look at it before publishing?

That tells you everything you need to know about their regard for this pilot group. They picked a bid pack that was completely illegal (not just contractually illegal… actually illegal) and tried to foist it on everyone. Not only that, but, as mentioned, it didn’t even benefit the company to begin with!

JBLU is back well below $5 as oil spikes. Interest rates are up as inflation re acceleration becomes a concern. So much winning!

It’ll be over in a week. Or… 5 or 6 weeks. Or…

someone should create a polymarket market of our pocket session and see how many excuses they come up with as to why our stock is down almost 10%… I thought this was our year.

minus the sarcasm, does management not realize that EVERY year there’s something that happens that negatively messes with our ops? Or are they in hope and pray mode?
