EVERY organization I've ever worked for claimed that "our people" are the difference and everywhere employees eat it up and ask for more! I say show appreciation by showing the $$$$$.
If I had to put $10,000 on what grinds my gears, this is it. It's almost like they have no idea how tone deaf that sounds.

The impact is currently being felt. You sir/madam are currently paying more today filling up your tank. Wait until delivery trucks for goods have to up their cost to the market. spoken like a true Lefty panican. It’s been less than 2 weeks. Oil already well off the highs of a few days ago and when this war is over in weeks it’ll drop back to where it was.

People have such a short attention span and patience. I’d say stop looking right in front of your face and open up your scan to the “far rocks” but by your pearl clutching I doubt that’s possible.

Smh ok nevermind. This is how we have convos now. I hope you felt better assuming what you think I am. Just know I'm rooting for this war to end sooner than later and prices drop.

I highlighted something from your comments. I hope you take your own advice.

This isn’t about politics or what side of the aisle you’re on. The current situation isn’t sustainable. Aside from all the JetBlue issues, when analysts are saying oil could very well go up to $200/barrel….there will be serious economic consequences. And when the average family can’t afford to fill their tank with gas or buy every day items, guess what….they sure won’t be flying on JetBlue for their annual vacation. So this really has nothing to do with politics and I don’t buy the narrative we were given anyway. This was a personal vendetta that triggered this crisis and guess who will be victims in this country? All of us everyday hard working people trying to provide for ourselves and families.

If I were a betting man, I’d bet we have more route cuts in the works. Definitely not expanding anytime soon.

Meanwhile, the product — both soft and hard — keeps falling further behind other airlines. Other than the extra legroom in coach (which will probably disappear eventually), there’s barely anything separating us from the rest of the pack. We keep hearing that our “culture” and “crew members” are what set us apart. That sounds nice, but it doesn’t fix the bigger problems. At this point, I honestly struggle to see how this place returns to consistent profitability again… unless it eventually involves a trip through Chapter 11 and shedding some debt.
At least with frontline employees, our culture is in the toilet. Morale is as low as I've ever seen here. Almost every CA I'm flying with now is upset because their schedules are getting worse and worse despite being here almost 20+ year while many of us in the right seat are here due to downgrades. So many "Just need this place to last a few more years then I can punch out" comments. No matter what we do, they continue to trip over themselves. My past couple trips have been nothing but self induced issues. Delays on delays on delays while the two of us upfront are there on time and ready to get the job done. We had to laugh one night when we got the "Ready to go?". Yeah, we've been ready to go for the past 2 hours.

Amen. We're paying more for everything. Heck I got a bill from UPS for tariffs that cost me a couple hundred bucks, something I've never gotten before in my life. Food, fuel, goods and services all cost more, yet some people still think this is a "my team vs your team" issue. Hint hint, we're not in the "big club". Nothing going on right now helps the average American.

Playing the long game. A spike over $100 doesn't mean much if it last a day then drops significantly. The market got scared then corrected. We will all be fine.

Except it’s now $92 and rising sharply again.

The simple fact is that this hurts Jetblue. High prices for 2 days, 2 weeks, 2 months… it doesn’t matter. This isn’t about being right or winning an argument. This hurts us, you and I, every pilot here. Period.
