My God, all this talk about food is laughable. If you need to eat, eat! Do some coordination, plan ahead I you can. But god if it's been 6, 8, or longer hours since you've had food go get some. Tell the gate we're not boarding until we get back then we need 10 minutes to inhale or even 15. Push late who cares. I've explained this to the pax and the CPO, never had an issue. In fact the cp said good lookin out for your crew.

It's not rocket science. I agree.

Also, lets allow cleaners on WHILE we de-plane... I'm going to stand in front and shake everyone's hand while the cleaners try to climb over our customers. (Wait, we have cleaners?)

Also now maintenance will descide when we can board with a write up. I say let them. I'm sure the pax won't mind seeing panels removed while some dude swears under his breath at the plane. Nervous flyers should really appreciate it.

Yeah seeing a tray table and TV get fixed are pretty traumatizing.

That's on them. Write up 10 TV's and overhead bins and start boarding. See how long it lasts. I'm all for them doing this.

Who knows, maybe it's the lights. Or the galley. WE might not be concerned, but it doesn't take much to scare people who are already nervous. Also when I board a flight, after hopping through all the TA hoops and general airport BS, I just want to see a nice clean airline with no more stress. I do not want to see a mechanics buttrack winking at me from row 5.

In any case it won't help our D0 or NPS. We COULD increase the turn time now that everyone is bringing the kitchen sink on board. Or we COULD hire more move teams so my 5:00 am isn't 30 minutes late getting to the gate even though it's been sitting at the airport since last night. Also we COULD give the pilots an industry leading contract so they actually care about D0 again. But those things cost $ so they won't happen.

Don't you mean YOUR cpo, and YOUR chief pilot. Your possession is discriminatory.

In all seriousness, won't it kind of suck if they start boarding before we get there. Sometimes it takes 5 min to get from outside to the cockpit after a walk around if they already started boarding. I just don't like the idea of having to push past 30 people with bags on a jet bridge, just to stand 5 feet from the door and wait on a wheelchair. If they start boarding before we are at the jet, it really could make us rushed, or late.
