I really hope that my negotiating committee isn't spending negotiating capital on something as silly as provided meals or meal breaks. I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself by either planning ahead or getting my stuff done in a quick turn and grabbing something. For everyone that wants some, I might add.

Meals are simple. If you need to eat go get something. Yes I would like to see it specified in the CBA but not at the cost of more important items. I expect a quality CBA, not a perfect one.
I have gone for food on a few occasions and a CP has never me called about it.

I think every aspect of QOL has to be addressed to be on par with the legacy carriers, not sacrifice something at the cost of something else. Sure it seems like a little issue, but why not have a CBA that looks like it belongs at a major, not a regional.

2. By giving us a raise in pay, they can claim it is a company wide change/improvement in compensation. Every group got different raises....my guess is 8 percent is equal to at least one other work group. They can now claim they did not retaliate against the unionized pilots, because everyone's PS formula changed, and everyone got a raise to compensate for the change.

The NC shouldn't have to spend negotiating capital to secure crew meals or breaks. These are just facts of life, and if management chooses not to recognize that then they'll have some serious D-0 problems. So long as pilots also recognize that they require proper nutrition and don't sacrifice themselves for the sake of D-0. Then again these are JetBlue pilots we're talking about...

I want you guys to get paid a fair wage. You fly large aircraft and will have an ever growing presence globally. The fact that you have people incorrectly saying that this is "an 8% raise" and that they need a "25% CBA" in the future just shows that many don't understand how severely they are currently being underpaid. You need to be a united front against management. The first few pay rates alone, are 50% below the legacies when you consider training pay. Benefits only increase the disparity. We only have x number of years to fly planes and every year we make less is exponentially fewer dollars at retirement.
I think you guys deserve much more as a pilot group and are losing sight of the big picture which coincidentally is managements plan. That's all I meant.
