Yes and when the blue gloves come off and RSAs are not taken. Many guys still doing too much outside of their actual job. Jetblue has got to be made uncomfortable to really get them to the table. As good as our MEC may be, B6 management still must believe that we are not truly united- why else would they poke us with new check-in rules and uniform jacket warnings? Prepare for things to get worse before any TA is reached.

I'm a pretty strong supporter of the union and a committee member but really it's this kinda talk that makes me real skittish about unions in general.

The check-in policy is annoying and they should not have done it but we are not talking about a major change. Sorry not to tow the line but in the grand scheme of things this is not the end of the world.

As far as the suiting jacket goes I don't see the issue with them reminding us of a policy. Did we need it as professionals? Probably not but we all know some folks are going to "forget."

Again I'm not sipping the blue juice, I don't do RSA's and I don't don the blue gloves, but talking about going on strike next year seems pretty premature.

Maybe I'm naive, but I don't want this to go from a great place to work to a constant b%$ch session at work.

How long have you been here? Honest question. The check in thing has less to do with the actual procedure of checking in and all to do with the implementation of this new work rule.

I agree with ten above statement . I've been here for little less then 4 years . And during this time it isn't the rules they place , (although I don't feel some are needed ) it's how they go about it thats scary to me , they didn't come up to anybody and say we have this many people showing up late to the aircraft causing delays . Or we have this many people calling in sick . We need a solution , work with us.

Nope , sick policy / commuter policy implanted over the weekend. And then try to pretend the email was sent on accident .

That shows a complete lack of respect for the pilot group . We are just a labor force to the upper scale of management . I don't mean that to be a drastic viewpoint towards management , it is simply business .

I don't understand why they implemented the Check in policy , they provide ZERO DATA , as to why they had to do this . The few hints they hinted at on the email do not explain it what's so ever .

We havent been here long enough to know the whole story 402- talk to any guy here over 5 years and youll get a better picture of whats going on. Ive been listening to those guys and learning how jb has taken from the pilots. Im actually happy here, just prepared for a fight to get what we deserve.

I wholeheartedly concur. I'm happy to be here as well but with eyes and ears wide open. This is a career airline iMHO and has incredible potential, but not without mutual respect for the profession and the role we play in the success of our airline. My 0.02c.

Are the Quito and Lima overnights that bad out of FLL? They seem to flood the open time.

It's not the overnight, it's the fact that it's fly all night sleep all day fly all night and make 10:00hrs. Same with island turns in JFK and MCO... unproductive, jacks up your rhythm, and it's generally un-fun.

Schedule bidding question: isn't there a command that dumps the entire PBS request and starts all over if you don't get exactly what you want? Case in point- 2 yr line holder but considering a reserve bid in hopes of week of Thanksgiving off. But if that's not possible I want a line. Suggestions on how to bid it?
