I hope I'm wrong, but this could drag out a long time.
Thats what Im saying F16- Strike vote is inevitable. No way a TA is voted on before 2018 unless we implement picketing, strike vote etc. Time to get real here guys- Management will just stall and throw crap at us until it costs them.

Strike votes are largely symbolic. That could happen at any time really. Actually striking, though, would take an extremely long time due to all the provisions in the RLA. That being said, I think we'd all prefer not to go down that path until we absolutely had to.

The company has a 50 point lead with 2 minutes to go before the economy turns. What would you do if you were them?

My original bet for a contract was 2018, might have to move up my guess at this rate.
I think it's still going to be a while...

Let the market handle this. When people are jumping ship to the big 3 by the busload, then it will hit them like a ton of bricks.

We're on track to lose about 100 this year total. Thats not enough for JB to care. Once we start losing 300-500/year then things will change.

Incorrect, SAL still doing heavy checks. Check out pairing J2O84 for tomorrow. Lake City does smaller checks and interior refurbs

Reason I asked about the checks: got one back and switches were all over the place. FO life jacket in wrong place. Weird foreign labeled water bottles onboard. I can't speak about specifics but some things were missed in the back that were no go. Found by new crew. Return flight cancelled. Very big deal. FAA involvement. We need to know when these things come out of major mx and to alert inflight as well.

Always have to preflight any mx bird with a fine tooth comb. I haven't to do at JB yet but at other places found interesting and missing items. Even got one bird back with the same deferred items on that it went into mx with.
