The Company agrees that there will be no further changes in the profit sharing pay-out percentage pool of JetBlue’s profit (as defined in the Plan) as applied to Pilots pending negotiation of the Parties’ initial collective bargaining agreement.

From the Urgent News blast Mail on October 12:

We would make several points for those considering the terms of the LOA;
 Our PEAs explicitly state that profit sharing is at the sole discretion of the Company (see PEA language below). Therefore, we have no contractual or legal basis to challenge the change. However, signing of this LOA secures a contractual protection that no other changes will occur.
The Plan does not define the formula.

If you need to eat....go get something. You're not fit for duty if you're hungry and dragging because of it, so therefore you can't legally plug in your pin to affirm FFD until you do.

Sure, much harder for the FA's since they don't have fit for duty. So then you wind up doing a food run for 4 or 5 people on a 30 minute turn. My main point is, there is a reason why the legacy carriers block their flights 10 or 20 minutes longer on the same exact route than JB does. Things don't often go as planned and taxi times and wheels up times throw a wrench in to this whole on time plan, but hey somebody's gotta pay for that extra 10 to 20 minutes.

I don't run food for FA's. it's not personal but in many cases they contribute to the poor treatment of the pilots. They need to fight that battle themselves.

This is just one more provision, that needs to be addressed in the contract. In previous contracts at other carriers, we wrote in a provision for crew meals, if we had last than xx minutes (45 iirc) on a turn.

Exactly! It's called being an adult and taking care of yourself and making sure you're fit for flight.

My regional had a meal break procedure in our contract, I know of a few that have crew meals on quick turns. These are regionals we're talking about. Some guys are telling me that we should just suck it up and run to whatever the crap premade sandwich place is available or pack our own food? Way to fight for a good QOL.

What is you alternative until we get a CBA? Seriously, what do you suggest? I'm glad your regional had a procedure in your contract, but guess what..We don't have a contract yet. Don't preach to me about fighting for QOL, that's just plain ridiculous thinking we don't want that. I want the best overall contract that we can get. Follow SOP's, do your job. Another question for you; If you had a meal break, where would you eat? Hmm, the same airport food that others suggest? Eat your own food that you brought?

I really hope that my negotiating committee isn't spending negotiating capital on something as silly as provided meals or meal breaks. I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself by either planning ahead or getting my stuff done in a quick turn and grabbing something. For everyone that wants some, I might add.
