This is the way I see it, we are NOT voting on PS on this LOA. Period. That decision was made by the company regardless of this vote. We are voting on a few extra premium days and a raise. I have faith in our NC. I believe they will present us with a fair CBA to vote on when the time comes. We can have an entire new thread to talk about it! This 8% will be a thing of the past. I'd say lets take the money and keep negotiating. My YES vote is in.

There is nothing stopping anybody from voting Yes on this LOA and then voting No a hundred times over on a ****ty CBA until we get a good one. That's my plan anyway. I know this sounds like a scam to me, but who cares? If we're going to be robbed blind, might as well recover some of the loss by picking up the loose change the robber dropped on the floor. I hope everybody feels the same and are ready to shoot down any subpar TA we get thrown at us.

Pilots hired in Nov 2014 and after don't even have PEAs. We have a verbal non-binding "we will abide" by the aforementioned PEA but there's nothing in writing. They could decide to pay us $10 an hour and we have no legal recourse.

Personally I'm wait and see. And as a former INDY air guy I abhor United. Wouldn't go there for $500K a year. AA? Commute on them. Enough said. SWA? The canned water freaks me out. Obviously I'm being facetious but not everyone that's employable elsewhere is leaving.

To piggy back on the above.

It might be harder right now to get a call from JB than other places. We hire what 200-300 a year, others are 500-800. I personally have 5-8 friends that have retired from the military in the past year. They applied everywhere. They all got multiple interviews and offers, no call from JB.

This could be because other companies are calling everyone due to high numbers and JB with much lower numbers is harder to get a call.

Or, and I hope this is not the case, they didn't get called because the company is worried they will leave for someone else.

Or maybe they didn't get called because they know me.

I predict a furlough in the next 5 yrs with the massive hiring. Maybe I'm paranoid. Fuel can't stay cheap forever. The economy will swing eventually. I'd rather not be pilot number 14,000 when that happens.

My thoughts exactly. It will also be interesting what will happen to this industry if the government allows NAI in.

I'll second this, I just prefer not to commute again. 35 years left, clean record, no failures, master's degree, 91/135/121. Although, I will be looking closely at our first contract. If it comes up sub par, I will begin to update the apps.

I think a lot of pilots will be doing that if the contract is subpar.
