I don't think that's what Joe was getting at, ATR.....I think he was just saying that if you're low on the seniority list here, that for your career in general, it might make more sense financially and QOL to go to one of the legacies......I see a lot of the "If you're not happy, leave" posts....I didn't take his as one of those.

Just came from recurrent. The mgmt debrief I was told, get ready for this. We, JetBlue are in a great position because the legacies could go out of business because they will not be able to hire enough pilots to fill the retirement voids. Yes. Bankrupt. So United & Delta with your awesome CBA's, good luck in a few years
You know who will help fill the Big 3 retirement voids? JetBlue pilots, as long as we are compensated 30-40% less than them. They better sweeten the pot ASAP.

I have no clue what he is talking about.
I think the word delusional is correct.
If anything they could just buy us kill the compition and get a bunch of young pilots. I did ask him if the ELT was worried about all of this and he said they have "mentioned it"
My big worry is they think like he does and if that is the case we will be in a world of hurt.

I had a similar recurrent experience, and if that management lunch is designed to convince young/junior pilots to stay we're in serious trouble... Arguing with line pilots telling us that's one way to look at things. It was an imbecilic display of managements ineptitude at seeing the realities of our industry. Eye opener to say the least... Just keep plugging away and update those apps till they give us a reason not to.

I heard that in initial. Our management seems a lot more concerned about the legacies' future training needs than the legacies themselves do. Perhaps you should write Mr. Parker, Munoz, and Bastian an email giving them a heads up that they will be bankrupt in 5-10 years, and you are concerned about their training events being too difficult to manage. What a joke. Still waiting for you to tell us how things are improving at JetBlue.

Delta just expanded their training center and I'm pretty certain United planned for increased training when they consolidated with CAL. The Big 3 have plenty of training capacity to shuffle their current pilots and train new hires they poach from industry laggard JetBlue. #keepsgettingbetter
