Here is a quick summary of JetBlue reserve rules once all is fully implemented (no later than 12/31/19), some parts already active, but should give you a general idea of reserve rules and what to expect...
General:
-Short Call Reserves receive 13 days off in 30-day bid period, 14 days off in 31-day bid period.
-Long Call Reserves receive 12 days off in 30-day bid period, 13 days off in 31-day bid period. Exception: Long Call Reserves will receive 14 days off in May, Sept, and October and 13 days off in February for non-leap years, 14 in February for leap years
-Ability to bid for blocks of reserve between 3 and 18 days long.
-Ability to preference Pairings, awarded in seniority order
-No Airport Reserve
-15 minutes to call back scheduling from the initial Positive Contact attempt.
-Once you have accumulated 75 hours of credit (not including VDA/RSA/day off flying) in a Bid, the company can either release you from the remainder of the bid period or pay you the greater of 4:12 for each Reserve day remaining or actual credit.
-No Pairing with a scheduled release time after 0059 Base local time on the first day off.
Short Call:
-Not more than 10 hr. RAP
-No RAP start time or a Pairing prior to 1000 Base local time on the first day of reserve block, unless waived.
-Silo RAP start window
(Base local time)
A 01:00-06:59
B 07:00-11:59
C 12:00-16:59
D 17:00-22:00
-Call-out period no less than 2:30 from the initial Positive Contact attempt, except LGA (2:45), LAX (3:00), PBI (3:15)
-Auto-release on last day of reserve block 6 hours after RAP start or 1700 Base local time, whichever is earlier.
Long Call Reserve:
-24 Hour RAP
-No assignment or Short Call conversion on first day prior to 1400.
-Can't be converted to short call more than 5 times/per bid period. Each conversion pays $100 above guarantee.
-14 hr. call-out period from the initial Positive Contact attempt.
-Auto release at 0800 on last day of reserve block without an assignment.
