Does anyone know if they are re-painting the 190s? I swear I saw a 190 the other day with the new “highrise” tailfin and what looked like a fresh coat of paint. Why paint them if you are going to replace them anyway? Unless it is one of the 30 we own and plan to keep longer?
Just an APC guess (for what that's worth), but I don't see JB dropping any 190s until at least 8-10 220s are operational.

I don’t know if I’d describe our “outwest” flying as desirable... since 80% of anything heading “west” is going to be a redeye. To each their own, though

80%? I’d guess more in the 40% range.

It is more than 40%! Anything ‘out west’ (Denver and westbound), every city has pretty much a redeye, especially the 1 a day flight cities with transcon service (PHX, PSP, ABQ, SMF, SJC, etc). The true daytime flying is going to be the short hop LGB stuff, and you’ll be flying 3-4/leg days, besides a few daytime departures from LAX/SFO and a few others, everything else will be flown in the middle of the night.

Before the CBA, more than 50% of the pairings had at least one leg touching the redeye period, and I doubt that has changed much.

Ok so 50%. Still not 80%. Most cities have a red eye to BOS and a red eye to JFK. Most of those cities also have at least one day time departure going east as well. Some have multiple day time departures east like SFO and LAX.

I've looked around but can't seem to find confirmation, anyone know if it will be a HD or MINT configured jet? That's one good looking 321.

Default Dropping trips

How is the reserve grid at JetBlue? Are you able to straight drop trips or drop trips from one base and pick up in another?

Can only speak for 190 Bos FO....reserve grid has turned very green for May with all the hiring they’ve done. I’m talking 10 to 15 Reserves over the buffer on every weekend. Whether that stays the same with summer approaching is another thing, but still I haven’t seen the grid that green in a long time. So yes...if you’re a new-hire on reserve today that’s Flica saavy, you could swap and probably get most weekends off.

Global open time isn’t active per the CBA yet to pick up trips in other bases. There will be restrictions when it does become active in terms of the open time going to in-domicile pilots first. We’ll see how it works.
