They're not nuts, just uninformed. Some of these guys think that they'll get a tax break on the 15% discount as well but that's not the case. Their plan only works if you hold for 18 months AND the price has gone up. Then you get a break only on the gain, but still pay full freight on the discount. If the price has gone down, then what was the point? You still pay full taxes on the discount, and take a long term capital loss at a lower rate. Plus, you lost money. Great plan.

(Totally kidding)
Well, enough of a gain to get a new suit and a rental car for your preferential interview.

( Kind of kidding)

Any idea when we are doing central load planning? Did we push it back again?

Plus. If you wanted to invest in JBLU, just buy the shares in your brokerage account. Then you’d get the long term cap gains after 12 months instead of having to wait 18.

I just don’t see any advantage at all in keeping the shares even 1 day more than you have to. There’s no tax benefit at all.

The only thing Jetblue is pushing back is aircraft all the way to the runway in FLL to because the flights are already at min block. You can't make this **** up. And people think this place is a good job.

Apparently, the flights to LIM are at min block before they even push to the brain child airline tugs the aircraft to the runway so they don't have to taxi out under ship power.

No way! I’m surprised that fll allows that! That’s just stupid. Guess it’s why they diverted the first time they flew there. Are crews allowed to say anything againdt that? Guess it wouldn’t be hard to verify by looking up the flights on blueeye
