Huh.... a govt employee's union in favor of privatization? Surely you jest.
Do you see the post office employee's hoping for privatization?
Do you see the TSA employees wanting privatization? How bout the DMV workers, or the VA?
Not saying that privatization of the FAA would be good (there are some functions that govt should just perform), just flabbergasted that you would thing the FAA employees are for cutting their FED benefits and retirement in any way.

The NAS in this country is outdated. Period. The tech needs updating. If done, it will be done by a not for profit enterprise. This has nothing to do with busting the controllers union and shaking costs out of them.
Controllers need to take a deep breath here.

It's ATC? What entity is the last to install GPS? ADS-B? Satcom? The airlines are. They consistently get waivers to not upgrade to the latest technology (single HF anyone?) and then blame ATC. Under a privatized ATC, there's no accountability to congress.
Want on time flights? Don't jam 50 pounds of groceries into a ten pound bag then complain when the bag gets wet and breaks. Every alphabet organization - most notably the NBAA - is against it. If a Falcon 7X operator that has the latest technology sees no benefit then...what's the issue again?

I'd rather try to get 50lbs of groceries in a 20 lb bag.
The NBAA is against it on the grounds of technology or fees? The NBAA being against something doesn't equate to the 7X not seeing ANY benefit.
"Ah ladies and gentleman, we have 3hr delays up and down the East Coast because there's a JB aircraft that departed for San Juan with only 1HF, and it broke...." (That's not why there's 3 hr delays).
Accountability to Congress....not sure what that adds up to nowadays. As in they're accountable to the people? To me, being accountable to congress just means it's a political football more than it means John Q Public has a say in things.

You also can't board a plane to SDQ with one gate agent that doesn't speak ANY Spanish. Because you get 40 bags piled up in the forward galley. And then everything comes to a screeching stop
