Picketing is at HQ in LIC so you don't have time to go picket and be back unless you have a 2:30 hour sit min. However you can help by doing your job and only your job,fly sop, use acars and company provided cell phone (yes I know) to contact dispatch.or MCC, read your MEC updates, wear your lanyard and talk to other pilots that still don't get it

It’s at our HQ. we appreciate the offer but this event being our first ever is limited to JB pilots only.

What do you do if JT is calling you every 5 minutes asking about your departure time, logbook and whatever else he can think of?

I don't know who JT is.

In any case, use your interpersonal communication skills. If a flow, checklist, or anything else was interrupted then start over.

If the interruptions don't stop, then a conversation needs to happen regarding their impact on your ability to prepare for the flight. Then you go back to the beginning of whatever was interrupted and you do it again.

What 701 said. Be safe. JT is a failed model. That’s why he’s going back to the line.
