i am quoting myself here. i see what you were saying. i had it wrong. i thought the negotiating committee had voted 12-0, but i see the negotiating committee briefed the mec, and then the mec voted 12-0.
so clearly, the implementation is the reason it lost 5 votes, because what else changed?

The MEC members would then have a subsequent vote (which happened today) on the FULL merits of the totatality of the TA which resulted in a 7-5 vote. When they voted 12-0 to relase the bullet points, it was just to release that 3 page document to the pilot group.

"Today, your MEC held a special meeting in executive session that included a briefing on our AIP from the Negotiating Committee. Your elected representatives unanimously approved the agreement, conditioned on final language, with a 12-0 vote. The MEC believes this market-rate agreement meets the overall demands of our pilot group and brings significant value to our pilot group."
so no, of course they didn't have the final language back then (it didn't exist), but they didn't just vote on whether to release the bullet points or not. they voted on the agreement itself.

i'm gonna have to disagree with you on that. i went back to look at the email they sent out, that is when i found out who voted for what. here's what the email (5/16) said:

The LGB no votes...
“We believe the Negotiating Committee met our objective of achieving a market-rate agreement. Looking at the package as a whole, we understand that from work rules to retirement, pay rates, rigs, and overrides, the contract added over 700 hundred million dollars to our pilot group.
Our issue was with the implementation timeline. The Negotiating Committee was able to stipulate that the Company cannot achieve efficiencies that they bargained for in certain areas until Reserve and, ultimately, all of Section 25 Scheduling, is fully implemented. However, we didn't feel that our members should have to endure these delays.”
