Without a 5.5hr true min day, I would be a no vote.

Straight from his mouth earlier this summer. Wish I could say it was a silly rumor I heard. Something about unintended consequences he said. I also would not support a TA without a healthy min day provision.

ok stop right here.... lets get something straight before you guys get all ****ed about a misunderstanding of what the MEC may or may not have said. i have a few friends that are reps and one NC guy..... while they have never said specifics obviously due to NDA's and such. I am almost 100% certain what you heard is that we don't want "average min daily credit.." this is correct due to the way they could still try to bend the rule into their favor... remember a "day" is 24 hrs and such. Trust me the company would try every trick in the book.

What we do want is "minimum calendar day credit", this is more black and white... and i personally believe that that is what we will get...

I have complete faith in our guys... they are some really smart dudes and have been working with many other ALPA MEC's and committees to make sure they get this one correct. like i said this is just my opinion

Our NC is not stupid. This is also not out MECs first rodeo. I must agree with GT4

Need to be careful on minimum daily credit.

A buddy at United told me of a trip out of LAX that went to DEN in the morning. Day "sleep", then back to LAX at night. Total credit for trip was 5 hours.

Maybe a min credit per day or duty period, whichever is greater.

All angles need to be explored because the company will exploit any loophole.

Yeah and we have dozens of trips that leave on day 1 then 24 hour layover the red eye back on day 3 all worth 10 hours so yeah ill take my chances with a 5 hour 1 day over a 10 hour 3 day
