i mean in all reality. I didn’t matter I guess. I still don’t need to work. Just confused why we have a bidding system for rsvs to pick up but never seems to work
It might’ve gone to someone that needing landings more than you or consolidation. The DRO would’ve told you that. It’s the controlling document for your next day reserve assignments. People have been burned before not checking it...for instance Flica says they’re REL but then the DRO is posted and they have SCL and they’re halfway home on a commute. Probably less important to check it with flying this low.

PM me if you want help finding it.

DRO isn’t controlling anymore. JETCRW is.

The way I always understood it was that the DRO was controlling and JETCRW or its equivalent was the means to notify the pilot? 25.R.2

That's misleading. For next day assignment, the DRO is the document that gives you the assignment.

If JetCrw is different to the DRO and you haven't been notified by positive contact then the DRO is still your assignment (unless you do CS's job for them and acknowledge the JetCrw change)

CBA: Sect. R.2.
"....The DRO shall be used to assign:

a . Next day Pairings to Long Call Reserves
b . Next day Pairings to Short Call Reserves
c . Next day Long Call to Short Call conversions d . Next day Short Call RAP
e . Next day Last Day Release
  1. iv . Pairings assigned via the DRO shall be assigned to Long Call Reserve Pilots first. Once all Long Call Reserve Pilots have been assigned a Pairing, Short Call Reserve Pilots may be assigned a Pairing via the DRO .....
R.6: ...For Pairing assignments made after the DRO has been published,....if a Pilot has not acknowledged the assignment at the applicable Reserve callout time, the Company shall establish Positive Contact."

You sound like a real piece of work if you consider clicking ‘Acknowledge’ in an iPhone app as ‘doing CS’s job’.

DRO assignments don't need to be acknowledged anywhere. JetCrw is NOT positive contact. It's their job to call me if there's a change from the DRO assignment.

(Also; JB has never given me or paid for an iPhone so I won't be using one for any company apps).

I see your arguments. But it also says that each pilot shall be notified of their assignment via JETCRW. If I don’t get it there, does it exist? Sure it also says that DRO assignments will be made available electronically, but there is no requirement in the contract to check the DRO. It only says that we will be notified via the app.
