That wasn't a relief bill they passed in May.... it was a socialist pipe dream with a few things thrown in to make it a "relief bill."
It had a snowball chance in Hell of going anywhere but the trash.
Now, the R's did pass a straight short term extension of the Cares Act to get through the time needed to negotiate a real long term solution... the D's walked away.

Thanks for the political analysis, cujo. While you're at it, take a look inward at our own industry. Who's been funding the majority of our paychecks since April? You must be returning each paycheck out of principle then, being the staunch defender of capitalism you present on here.

You disagree with the HEROES Act bill passed in the House, congrats. I'm sure the same goes for many members of the Senate that's why there's reconciliation to bridge the gap between it and the HEALS Act.

None of that disproves the point I made in the prior post. A party driven to derail the economy would be hellbent on obstructing the legislative process instead of passing bills providing essential workers hazard pay and ensuring those who lost their jobs as a result of the pandemic receive some extra money to keep a roof over their heads, food on the table, and maybe have a little extra to spend somewhere else to help keep the economy afloat until we defeat the virus and can begin an economic rebound in earnest.

If you could find ANY bill in congress that doesn't have pork in it, I would be surprised. The republicans wanted the same thing. My guess is that they couldn't agree on the stupid stuff, like a new FBI headquarters. That doesn't seem like a big priority at the moment, does it?

Either way, on either side of the aisle, I think we were all hoping for a bill that extended the cares act. By going around congress, Trump eliminated the possibility of that. I won't say what he did was wrong, because I'm glad to see people get the help that they need. I do think people needed more. I think the 600 a week that people had been getting is a large part of why the economy isn't worse than it is. At least here in Flor-i-duh, unemployment is such a joke. Six months into this, people who have lost their jobs are still having trouble enrolling in it. And, it is such a pitiful amount. My wife lost her job a few years ago. It was about 170 a week. It was such a ridiculous small amount of what she actually earned before. The system was designed to make a certain politician look good.

What am I missing with Pref bid on reserve? I wanted to fly a day trip. Haven’t worked in two months. Don’t feel like going to training again.

put a bunch of bids in for trips and POOF they are gone. Don’t even show up for denial in the rsv open time thingy.

wtf is a DRO.

idk I just say I want to work this trip and bid for it. But never get it. Are that many other people bidding for trips on their RSV days?

i mean in all reality. I didn’t matter I guess. I still don’t need to work. Just confused why we have a bidding system for rsvs to pick up but never seems to work
