and that’s your choice. I go by what is required of me. Jetblue has never gone above and beyond for me, crew services has never done me any favors. What is the point of having a contract if people like you will go above and beyond what is required to do your job. I have flown with people like you to who are usually new hires who still have a little juice running through their veins. I don’t agree with that point of view either.

Points of view like yours are the reason crew services kept getting away with assigning a long call a pairing for the next day (outside of the DRO) and only giving 10 hours off between those pairings. That had to go through grievance after many of us called BS.

6. Notification of Assignment
a. The Company shall notify a Reserve Pilot of a Pairing assignment
via JETCRW at the time the Pairing is placed on the Pilot’s schedule.
For Pairing assignments made after the DRO has been published,
if a Pilot has not acknowledged the assignment at the applicable
Reserve callout time, the Company shall establish Positive Contact.

Since you brought up the contract, the company is only required to establish positive contact for a reserve assignment outside of the DRO.

Also GMAFB...clicking ‘Acknowledge’ on a banner notification is going ‘above and beyond’? Whatever dude.

when they kept adding responsibility to why I have to do even as a line holder via jet crew. That is why I care. Jet crew has been a terrible app that people like you allowed the company to require positive check in, notifying via that, etc etc. I’ve had quite a few times I never acknowledged and they never tried another way to notify me. I went to the home and they were stuck without a captain.
if it helps me get home quicker or a butt load more money I’ll acknowledge, otherwise I make soc earn their paycheck.

Hmm, idk…you say you don’t like jetcrew but it seems to be working in your favor? As you say you acknowledge when good and vice versa…which is fine.

I think Clarence is saying for your typical reserve scl call out, jetcrew is fine – and I’d agree. Say you get something besides a short notice call out…I’d rather just get the jetcrew notification, check to make sure it’s legit and then get on with it. As opposed to talking with annoying CS and then waiting for them to actually put it in jetcrew before I waste any effort on it.

The only thing I wouldn’t be feeling too great about using your method of requiring them to call every time – when they forget it’s probably some minimum wage bubba getting spanked

I’m just glad to see we’re back to arguing over the contract and JetCrew...

Reserves are required to check the schedule after 8am to see what their next-day assignment is. No acknowledgement is necessary.

This is how LC knows they have an assignment and are released.

This is how a SC knows what his assigned reserve window is.

jetcrw still doesn't work right and cannot do basic functions and a request (if it even lets you submit one) falls through the cracks once an IROP begins. I have had no hotel on a few occasions and it has gone way too long before they call me. Telling the hotel confirmation # is "planned / booked" doesn't get you a room. Not sure why we cannot have an actual confirmation number. Why are we never given PNR's for positive space DH's.

Did you know that being a Positive-Space DH does not mean you are a must-ride?

Neither did I.... Until a JFK Supervisor pulled me and another pilot off a flight to accommodate more customers.
