I can't see how it would change much. ALPA already brings in millions from dues, so it's not like they would be hurting for cash once they have contracts with the legacies.
Not saying the dues aren't worth it. I know that's how organized labor works and I think they generally do a good job.

ask all the rampers pretty much everywhere how it worked out. Now instead of management chipping away at language one carrier at a time they can do it all at once. I like Alpa as well and have worked on two agreements with them in the past. I just don’t want to work directly for them.

Yup. Recently legacies paved the way in pay rate/retirement then nk,jb,and f9 set up the 5 credit per day for vac as well as training improvements. Pattern bargaining. Works well. The downside is when someone takes concessions because it works both ways.

Not at all. Some people just can't seem to wrap their head around why someone wouldn't want to be at their legacy.
I wasn't going to say anything before you chimed in, but it's hilarious you are the one to try to offend me when you created this laughable thread to begin with.
When I read some threads, I instantly think "this couldn't possibly have been written by a 121 pilot".
Yours was that thread today. But don't worry..yours wasn't the head scratcher of the week. 'Long transit' guy took that one.

Anybody on here looking to rock the boat is probably in a dingy. While my airline has A LOT of work to do on our contract and keeping up with our peers, the idea of any national seniority list is ridiculous. I would say that just about every pilot who is at their “forever airline” would say no to even the thought of this concept being proposed.
The only ones screaming “one list, national seniority list, etc” are the ones who aren’t where they want to be yet. Just have patience, I know I did.
