Apply now and establish a history. If you wait till they start interviews again, you could have a lot of candidates in front of you to be interviewed.

One thing to consider that could affect the number of new-hires we get are the furloughees who are still on bypass. Depending upon how the SLI shakes out, future staffing, etc., this could be their last chance to come back in the ten year window. I believe there are still around 160+ guys still on bypass who could conceivably come back and negate any hiring. Now I think most will stay on bypass but it is a variable to consider.

Not only is Dirty Delta hiring, they are going to take over the world. The CP in Hong Kong told me.

I know I am tired, but were you guys on the cheerleading squad in college.

Dirty Delta and college cheerleaders in the same post? Someone's been spending to much time in the red light district of HK.

I can tell you this. From some people in hiring, they are not even looking at apps right now. I have a buddy that is contemplating coming here, getting a number and going with whatever comes. They told him not to worry about the app right now. Come the end of summer, that may be different.

As with the by-pass recalls. I have to say that you may see a bunch come back. The ones handing out at AAI, and Jet Blue have told me that they see the writing on the walls, and it is time to come back if they come back at all. Some are still hoping that they do not need to come back, but admit they they may not have an option. It will affect the new hire numbers, but I still be that we bring in at least 150. There are a lot of options for big jets in Everett that DAL is hoping to put in to firm orders. If the SLI cannot get done we are going to need bodies. Fact is that we will probably need pilots either way.
If I am told other wise I will change what I am saying but as of late last week the plan was the same. I guess we can look forward to more 23K flying as they take our trips for IOE...

acl65... I hope you're right... I am worried about getting furloughed... not so much as a result of the merger, but because of fuel.
