I find your posts and 12 year old mentality disgusting. Sure the industry sucks and what has happened to YX in particular is abhorrent. RAH has some tools but also some really great people (you know, fathers, wives, mothers, community volunteers, military veterans) whom you have chosen to label as limp- bleeped scabs.
Your pile-on mentality to impress your other 23-year-old friends at Mesaba (I think that's where you work) is pathetic. PM me your name and I will be happy to ensure your personal little jumpseat war is reciprocated here at JetBlue. Or stow it.

I'm ALPA and the last time I checked Republic is not. ALPA is not doing enough about this situation but that is fine because I will do my part. Anyway, it doesn't have to be a war now does it? They have to reciprocate the ban. But since that pilot group is full of limp you know what's I doubt anything will happen.
And even if it does so what? There just happens to be a lot of graffiti on the ALPA booklets, magazines and stickers in the crewroom that say "f-Republic" and "Republic scabs" and so forth. I think most get the reality of the situation and will do our best to derail it. So if it means missing your commute for work, so be it.
I hope it's a matter of time before you all get an ugly dose of reality when you start flying the Midwest and Frontier routes. And I hope Southwest eats you up out West. So enjoy it while you can and when it goes south don't come crying here.

I can appreciate your sense of loyalty but please explain how the flight crews are under qualified. You've insulted an entire group of people including the mighty SouthWest pilots, I'd like to know of your vast knowledge gained in that 1st class seat how you can say they my pilot group is any less qualified or professional than another? Search the web, you will not find one fatal accident by a RAH crew in its 26 years as an air carrier. (you'll need to search Chautauqua to back that far.) You'll find one incident that led to a damaged airplane with no injuries in CLE.
I don't know about you but im a huge fan of tech ops/mx...

Just a quick question: If I remember right, someone told me that the Midwest guys were offered the 190 for their pilot group? If so, wouldn't they have been able to keep or negotiate rates etc. - by looking at their 717 rates, compared to JetBlue's new 190 rates, I would hope that they could have gotten something between Republic, Midwest 717-rates or better (JetBlue new rates).
I'm not trying to stir-the-pot, just understand this situation. And isn't Republic negotiating for better rates on the 190's? I would hope!

I know you don't like RAH but none of their pilots went there with the sole intention of undercutting another labor group, particularly yours. GoJet was created for the sole purpose of undercutting another labor group. Everyone who has been hired at GoJet knows what it represents and what they are enabling their management to do.
You act like the RAH pilots were standing in line waiting to get hired so that they could fly E-190s at Midwest, that simply isn't the case. I'm sure there are a few there that are excited about the E-190s but most I've met and talked to are not. I think it's unfair for you to expect them to quit their jobs when they didn't intend to take yours. Could they be doing more to help out your group? Probably, but comparisons to GoJet at this point are too early and uncalled for. If they fail to get decent rates for the E-190s then you can be ****ed at them all you want.
Whatever you do, DON'T GO TO GOJET. I will walk your resume into ASA if we start hiring again at some point, but even ASA should be a last choice for you. You are a mainline pilot with a lot of experience and you'll eventually be able to find another job at a mainline carrier. It sucks that you'll have to start over but unfortunately life isn't always fair.

Sure we can draw a line in the sand and say no more but as soon as we do we have a new GoJets pop up and the race continues. The solution starts at the top. If they stopped giving away scope and switching regional feed carriers every couple years it would put us regional guys in a much better position to negotiate better rates and work rules. Until mainline stops we will all live in fear of management starting a new carrier with a bunch of new bushy tailed jet course kids waiting to take the job or losing our contracts to another lower bidder because their "costs are more inline with todays market conditions".
What would you do if the majors stopped the erosion of scope to where it's at? What is your solution to the regionals?
