Well they get to test that provision. Heard on the radio yesterday 150 pilots furloughed.

That is true, but as a comparison of the 2 companies, it tells little of the story. Yes I agree with the fact that bag fees and little airplanes suck. No rational mind would argue that. With SWA, you get about 50 (or so) cities in the USA. With DAL you get over 50 COUNTRIES around the world on 6 continents. I know we all know this, but I think it is helpful to keep that in perspective when comparing the 2 companies. SWA is NOT an upstart like the press so lovingly tags them.. they have been around a long time. What they ARE is a niche player, albeit a good one. DAL is a global corporation. Rant over. Tide still sucks. (but not as bad as the gators)

I thought in Delta Speak it was a Rotation. You do not Duty In, you Report. There are not days one, two, three, etc, they are A, B, C, and D days of a trip.

You are right but SWA is trying to become a nation wide player not just the regional player they are now. You see them penetrating more and more of the top market cities. Here in Texas, SWA rules. NYC, not so much. You see their business model evolving from small under served airport markets to secondary airports in major markets now to high revenue/volume traffic airports. I am glad we are upgrading LGA. Hopefully we can excise the brown and orange tumor before it grows. (no offense SWA guys, we LUV ya!)

We are different companies with different business models. Yes we are huge and fly everywhere in the world. But don't discount the largest domestic carrier. Every butt that flies on SWA is revenue that we lost. That is the name of the game, my friend.

Oh, and Alabama has 13. Peyton is .500 in big games. And you have a man crush on Tebow.

I am not arguing that at all. I just don't think it is a fair comparison to give equal weighting to DAL/SWA. They are 2 completely different animals. They provide nothing near what DAL does. Not even close. They are a bus service. It is what it is. Keep them in check, and don't worry too much about them. They have nowhere to really grow as all the markets they serve are pretty much full. Now... they HAVE to start playing with us at LGA among others, and that screws their model. It kills their efficiency.

.500 is a pretty good average.. but that Tebow thing... well... THAT's just plain mean.

Inverse assignments pay double pay for

A reserve pilot who has flown an inversely assigned rotation(s) will receive:
1) double pay and credit for the portion of such rotation(s) flown on his reserve oncall
days (applied against his reserve guarantee), and
2) double pay, no credit for the portion of such rotation(s) that interrupted his Xday(s) (in addition to any other pay and credit for the bid period).

Notice I did not say green slips, just IAs.

I like your way of thinking....I would have gotten 36 extra hours last year.

Why not bring that back, as well as a better international override, and night pay.
