You'll love me. You'll want to buddy bid with me so often...people might start talking.

Totally unscientific and anecdotal, but -- It looks like DPA is gaining some momentum.
I've had several random guys walk up and hand me DPA business cards on my last few trips and I've seen the same cards distributed around the system in layover hotel lounges, computer rooms, etc.

I hope they come out with some more information soon.
Awareness is increasing but the people I've talked to all want to know basically the same thing about the DPA -- Is this John Malone's group of usual suspects? If not, who is it? What is the DPA's intent?
Many pilots are hesitant to send in their authorizations without more info first.

Jedi Mind Control allows Prater to determine how you will vote. His power is so mighty, his re-election was a landslide victory...

Uh Oh! Your theory failed Test 1.

The "right track" is trying to do the right thing, even when the government, the courts, the ATA, and your management are all resisting it. It takes volunteers who can set priorities in the face of that resistance, and do their best...even when 5-10% of their fellow pilots are screaming at them to "kick some butts, NOW!"

Carl is complaining about the pilots who've stepped up, and he wants a new group to step up...because, Hey!, there's no way anyone will complain about THOSE guys! I'd like to know if Carl is going to be one of the pilots to step up. Will you step up?

I watched the PFAA replace a big union through a similar method of tapping into anger. The Teamsters were sent packing. The age of exclusive self-interest was ushered in. Guess how successful the homegrown, in-house, un-bloated union was at accomplishing ANYTHING?

They weren't. At all. They were a bunch of angry screamers who got NOTHING done to help their members. Oh, they were loud...but they got NOTHING done. Zero.

Eventually, PFAA was replaced at Northwest by the AFA.

Maybe I can find a PFAA pin on eBay and convince the DPA gang to just superimpose their spiffy logo on top of it. Or better yet, an hourglass, to represent the elapsed time from when pilots listened to angry guys with no specific plan, to when they recognized their mistake.
This is really getting to you isn't it? Man you are so easy....

That's ALWAYS your response. I guess we should not expect otherwise because ALPA is infallable and would NEVER do anything the wrong way.. or make mistakes.. like Prater... or Woerth... or......

Oh, did I actually type that?

I feel like I am a middle of the road guy on this debate with somme guys on the alpa side and some guys on the dpa side. The problem I keep running into is every time an ALPA defender pipes in, they pipe in with spin and half truth.

DPA is nothing, but what the ALPA defenders fail to realize is that it is their pro-alpa-spin that is so repellant. That repellance drives centrist truth seekers like me to the dpa side.

I'm on the fence, tipping toward DPA. If I don't see some major movement on CrewPass soon, my card is going in.

THIS....

The extremely tepid response from ALPA national regarding the latest TSA issues has driven more than 10 guys I know into sending in DPA cards.

They need to get on top of this PRONTO if they want to avoid a landslide. People are really upset about it.

NWAf16 that is an item we all want. It is an approved system, the government is not going to pay for it, so it is left to the union or the company to foot the bill.

Yeah - Carl may not be winning; but, the ALPAistas are losing all by theirselves.
