Heyas,

It continues to amaze me that for an organization that has DONE NOTHING, zero, nada, {empty}, it has both the lovers and the haters frothing at the mouth.

For the lovers, I can see that you have some angst, and anything new is worth talking about. But with that said, you seem to be in love with a chimera, an apparition, a vapor...

And then there are the haters. Here is a mythical enterprise, that so far has nothing to show but a website and some talk, and yet here people are balling themselves up into hysterics and wrapping themselves in the ALPA flag as if the organization is the raison d'etre, rather than the good of the DAL pilots.

Rather than play on emotions, if either side has a pitch to make, then make it. Unemotional and with the facts. Let the pilots decide which makes better sense. If either side has a better mousetrap, then perhaps that will become self-evident.

But I doubt it will play out that way.

And you've never talked about panties....

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

The reality of this is that DPA will help to raise some awareness on the part of the average line pilot. Most want to go thru their lives/careers just like Tommy Lee Jones describes in MIB. They don't want to be bothered with the minutae... Those will not get involved nor really care one way or the other, because 99% of the guys go straight to Chapter 3 of any TA we get, and see if that is acceptable to their current lot.. There will be some.. mostly forum radicals that will raise a little hell, and perhaps get the union moving in an insignificant way that will be beneficial to the group rather than sitting back on their laurels and doing the same old thing. Then.. when the contract enters Section 6.. DPA will go away because God forbid we have any real debate because "disunity.. disharmony" will harm the group. So we will once again fall right into lockstep with the MEC and whatever national wants.. and vote whatever they send us into being.. no con papers.. little if any debate... there ya go. As someones avatar says.. Blather.. Wince... Repeat. Nothing will change.

Seems as though they are going to be whining about having to go down to Philadelphia to play in October every year for the next 3-5 years.....

Damn. My White Sox don't have a chance.....

Ever notice that you and I are never here at the same time. Always just enough time to log off and log back in. Start connecting those dots. I'm not saying.....just saying.

Yup. Like my second post said on the subject:

It's all about whether DPA has 51% or not.

Or rather WHEN they have 51%, if I may correct you.
