Honestly, why else would we leave, in a seniority-driven system? It's not bs to point out that our group is behind in every compensation metric, it's fact, sorry you don't like hearing it.

Guys are leaving Captain seats to take recalls to AA and Delta, and to start at the bottom of United. Do you know of any national or major carriers that are losing Captains to start over at JetBlue?

We will grow by 13 planes next year, depending on how many we return. Time off reserve depends on which fleet and base, seems to be averaging 6 months on the E190, longer for A320.

I guess moving about half way up the 190 list in BOS in a little over two years all came from attrition.

Not a lot is it?

Big deal. Go ask mainline Pilots in the other bases if they are seeing much growth! Did your movement in the RJ in BOS come at the expense of shrinking or stagnation elsewhere?

And, are you aware of plans for domestic two way codeshare??????


Current ongoing issues strongly suggest VERY LARGE NUMBERS of Pilots have problems with Blew.


Let's see: Below average compensation all across the board, no retirement in the PEA, no protections, planned two way domestic codeshare, etc.

So, what's the benefit to the Pilot group in return for all of this?????


Whoopie. Movement on the RJ list in Boston. Wow. Every Major Airline Pilot's dream. Just don't plan your retirement under this "agreement".

No but they gladly took the job at Blue (who didn't make them give up their number) when they got furloughed.

Some reasons guys are leaving.

1 Pay Is the first one along with other things(as you have read) there is no way around that.
2 A very young pilot group so If we don't grow it will be a slow climb.
3 Different bases and International widebody flying.
4 Retirements at the majors and some growth....ie Delta.(move up the list quick)
5 They think jetBlue will be bought and we have no Idea what will happen to the pilots.
7 They don't think we have a viable business plan( I don't agree)
8 They have always wanted to work for a "real major" and they are now hiring.
9 They want a company with a cba.

There are really all kinds of reasons its all personal.
We might be entering a time where pilots are in demand and it will be up to jetBlue to keep its pilots or just turn into a training factory.

I like jetBlue but agree we need a cba it is not the hell people make it out to be. My schedule in September 17 days off 88 hours I have made more than ever before and spend more time at home even though I commute.
Being honest if United called or the American/Airways thing worked out I would have to consider all options but there is nothing wrong with that.
For once we might all have the ability to go where we want.(maybe)

Which mainline pilots? The Bus guys? dude grow up.
Yeah only the rj guys moved up.
You just need help.
I hope to god a real major hires you and I never have to fly with you because I am not sure you are all there.

Ok, other issues and don't say I'm *****ing because you asked.
- horrible scheduling
- unproductive pairings
- bad hotels
- autocratic management
- terrible healthcare
- zero respect from managers, rampers, flight attendants gate agents because we are all equal
-really ugly uniforms
- terrible reserve policies
- no merger protection
- domestic codes sharing coming

Anyone else please chime in on why people are leaving without talking about pay.
