SWA AAI continued

Dear Master of Whack,
We all know how disgusted you are by all things SWA.
One simple question.
Did you show the same vitriolic response to all the SCABS that were on the leading edge of both ValuJet, Conquest/AirTran?
I would postulate that those SCABS were and are far more dangerous to the entire profession than OSW.

BTW, what's a "reprocusion"? Is that a reproduction of a cusion?
In any case, I assume that it's a bad thing for the SW guys. What happened to "no harm"?

Are you really insinuating that approximately 800 out of 1735 of our pilots had apps in with the Clown Show Airline? I'll buy one or two hundred MAYBE, but I can tell you that practically half is complete hogwash. I should know. I flew with several hundred of the most likely candidates to do so (FOs). I tended to hear "I have no desire to work there" a lot more than "I've got an app/interview there".
I think you guys have a grossly elevated sense of self-worth when it comes to your precious airline. Obviously......

Ok -
Let's pretend it's only 200 vs ZERO.
Answer the question;
IF THIS WAS REALLY A MERGER OF "EQUALS", WHY DID SO MANY AIRTRAN PILOTS (@200 if that makes you happy)HAVE APP'S IN AT SWA, AND NOT ONE SWA PILOT HAVE AN APP IN AT AIRTRAN?

What is your opinion of what Southwest is today compared to AA /USA, DAL and UAL? Far better career or worse?
Why are there "no shows" for new hire training at SWA?
Why are pilots quitting SWA to go to the big 3 ?
I agree with your statement above - I don't see a SW pilot wanting to quit and go to AirTran. That one AT Captain that did - where was he on seniority and what year did he leave AirTran?
But what does that have to do with the true issue? SWAPA and SWA had an agreement and made the SW pilots aware that there was NO INTENTION OF IMPLEMENTING A SENIORITY LIST FROM AN ARBITRATED AWARD. That was your leverage in negotiating an unfair SLI which essentially 1. Wiped out the seniority of the AirTran pilots. 2. Wiped out the career of a few hundred AirTran Captains. 3. Stapled so many of the AirTran F/O's. A profitable airline. Hiring pilots. Taking delivery of new airplanes

"Wiped out". Hyperbole much? Is there ANY responsibility for this outcome born by ATALPA and if so, where is the anger toward them? I get the anger toward SWA and SWAPA but there wasn't much intention on ALPA's part to negotiate. GK stepped in because he was not risking 5800 angry pilots when he could just **** off 3000.

From: DOWNGRADE COMPLETE: Thanks Gary. Thanks SWAPA.
Depends how you define "equals". Somehow I think my definition of it would agree more closely with an arbitrator's than yours.

(He "only" pi$$ed off 1,700+ AT pilots though, not 3,000).

If I were looking for a job a major today, WN would not be my first choice. In no small part BECAUSE of the acquisition. Stagnant seniority, slow upgrades and limited retirement numbers all make DL a better choice imo.
Why are there "no shows" for new hire training at SWA?
See above.
Why are pilots quitting SWA to go to the big 3 ?
Again, see above - and it's hardly an exodus. We also have many on our list that left the big three to work here. Could Aitran say that? Doubtful.

I don't know who you are talking about.
