Even if your 2000 hours were turbine, that probably wouldn't be enough to get on with SWA, UPS, FedEx or most other large airlines unless you had some serious internal recommendations. Like HSLD said, there are tons of guys with tons of turbine hours who have apps in.

The requirements will say whether the time has to be turbine, etc. I would say that at FedEx, UPS and SWA you have to have turbine.

CaptainMark, not defending Freightpuppy, but she has heard lots of guys telling her she was not good enough to fly for UPS. Including me.

Are you going to keep the A-300/310 for a long time at Fedex ? What kind of international flying do you do and what's your max range, roughly

Dude whatever. I personally know 2 white males that got hired (one at FedEx and one at UPS) right before 9-11 with 3200 TT. Oh yeah, one of the guys busted the sim check but they gave him another chance because "they liked him". They were civilians too. Oh yeah, 2 white guys at NWA with about 3000 TT. Plenty of dudes have gotten hired at airlines without ANY PIC turbine. Like I said - it's 2007! The playing field is A LOT different now or haven't you noticed?
