I was a May hire. I had 5 weeks between “FPT” and sims. Then a week between my checkride and LOFT, and another 10 days before 200 differences, and a weekend before IOE started. But, the good news is they didn’t wait to send me to IAD right after IOE. Called me on Friday night in Phoenix at 8pm, so that I could be marked notified for a 4 am reserve show in Dulles on Monday.

Okay, one other question -- do they positive space you to and from home in the event you are not scheduled for training for some reasonable period of time (4 days is common elsewhere), or would I have to non-rev there and back if I elected to leave due to the delay?

Nonrev. In the back. You won’t have a crew badge yet.

I'm not referring to jumpseating, which will of course require a badge and being in CASS, but the practice of using company business travel tickets with a more or less guaranteed seat in the back to get to and from training events.
Of course your comment has me wondering...how long does it take Mesa to provide a badge? Other airlines typically get it to you in about 30 days or near the end of systems training.
