Also, some of the taxi diagrams barely resemble what they are charting; see IAH west ramp.
Taxi charts need to be accurate, no excuse for that. As far as the approaches into Mexico, when I was on the CRJ, with Jepp plates, I had to guesstimate as to what I selected in the box, if I remembered correctly, it was a game of matching fixes from enroute to terminal.
This is not to say that Jepp's aren't without issues. My current company removed paper charts from the airplanes which were very helpful in determining the next call ahead frequencies for the FIR boundaries. The Jepp iPad app simply gives you a list of frequencies, sometimes totaling over 10 different ones. It's annoying because they aren't organized to the area you are flying into like the paper charts were. It feels dumb to have to always ask for the next sectors frequency on the radio so you can get permission to enter their airspace.

The Jepps have the IAFs labeled with designators that correspond to what goes in the box. A common one is D013N, which is the IAF that feeds from the UJ17 airway into QRO. These designators are not printed on the Nav Blue charts; all you get is radial and DME from the VOR.

I believe I was the 2nd pilot for Mesa into QRO, back then, the FMS databases were not complete, remember putting in lats/lons, and naming all the fixes. So you can't even do that with Nav Blue?

From time to time, we still have to build fixes using lat/long and name them going into some airports. My concern is if NAV Blue left them out of the FMS database are the fixes even on their charts.

That’s interesting, in my 15 years of 135/121 flying I have never build a fix on an approach. Do you ASAP these events?

In my 135 experience, neither had I. But, Garmin’s database is much better than NavBlue.

So do you ASAP it? So the FAA/POI is aware of the problem. I mean this could be catastrophic, mess up putting the fix in mountainous terrain.....

ASAP everything you see messed up on these new charts, EVERYTHING. That way our POI and the FAA see the true perspective on these charts, not what Mesa wants them to see.

I haven’t asap’d the database but this sounds like a plan.

We need to ASAP the **** out of the FMS database and these NavBlue charts once we start parallel flying with Jepp.
