No wonder Mesa didn’t roll out that policy. Calling out sick is the only way a junior pilot can get a line and get a specific day off. I always thought 25% of our pilots would qualify for CPP. Probably more like only 10% of our pilots qualify.
I'm curious too how many actually qualify for this program. |

If someone thinks they are a year or so away from actually qualifying for the CPP, they should probably start trying to be healthier:)

Has anyone that qualifies even been contacted by UA?

Meanwhile, CommutAir is making this program work for their pilots faster than anywhere else. |

No one has been contacted yet probably because no one at Mesa qualifies. I would think the first to hear anything will be the CA’s out of IAD. Crickets.

Uh what? There’s plenty that qualify by a mile including myself.
All the other CPP programs have pilots actively interviewing with United. Have you heard anything more and been interviewed with United? |

I am just being cynical of Mesa being serious about rolling this out and making it work. They want to attract new recruits, but not lose any captains. Our CPP total time and pic requirement is already 1,000 hours more than any other carrier. Even then, those who are qualified have heard nothing.

2,000 tpic or 3,000 Mesa total pilot hours. Must have been assigned to a UAX base for the last 12 months.
Meanwhile, CommutAir is saying their CPP program moves pilots to United in as little as 2 years and 10 days - CommutAir doh to United doh. |

United does not require the 2000 hours of pic time at commutair either like they do at xjt. I don’t think that the commutair cpp looks the same at all. |
