When you guys get on with a company that doesn't cut every single corner to eek out another .01%, you're going to be overwhelmed with joy. You don't even know!
Agreed. I jump on Ejets with Envoy and their layout is pretty cool. Except they are too cheap for auto brakes.

e-mail that dropped today implies that parallel ops have in fact begun.

Yep. I agree. Maybe, we should all ASAP the crap out of it since this email is in direct conflict with the Mesa operations manuals.

I would rather have company provided iPads, mounts, iPad power source, Jepp charts with ownship, D-ATIS, and PDC over auto brakes. This plane will stop perfectly fine using manual braking and TRs. I bet 90% of that guys here turn them on in the approach check and soon as the plane is on the runway..”AUTOBRAKE AUTOBRAKE”. WTF is the point??

Me too. However, I suspect United pays for the auto brakes and Mesa would pay for DATIS and PDC if we had it.

And, I agree that 90% of our pilots don’t know how to use them effectively.

Mesa evidently can’t afford or is too cheap to use Jepp charts, so D-ATIS and PDC are probably way way off the table. I don’t foresee us having all 60 EJETs by this time next year anyway.

Maybe if they’re kept in the planes or something, otherwise its something to be responsible for and they’d have the ability to monitor our activity.

That could be. We are a week away from United’s quarterly report (which will feature activity through Dec 31). We are two months from Mesa’s quarterly report. I would expect that news should be coming out soon - March at the latest.

If we start losing the first thirty Ejets at a rate of 2 per month in June as the contract calls for, how long before Ejet upgrades stop? Or, United may let the Ejets renew for 2 years per the contract.

The company supplied mounts that I have seen in the Ejet are permanently mounted where the permanent iPad mount normally goes. And, if you are worried about your activity being monitored, I would worry about you and your family should you be involved in an incident.

Most people use their ipads while not at work for a variety of things; netflix, youtube, APC, airline apps, amazon shopping etc...

I also refuse to have company email on my phone.
