kevin18 So you do or don’t like the bed you made for yourself?
I don’t blame people for taking the deal in the first place. I blame the company, and people like pangolin, for scaring them into to deal. I would blame them if they opted for it a second time. Also, with or without the deal in place it wouldn’t change my desire to leave this industry. Covid has changed what I had intended to be a short stay at Mesa. I don’t want to be here more than 4 years, the chances of that in the current market, as I see it, are slim. So, I move on, pay back a bit of bonus, and say thank you for being good crews to fly with.
I will not leave here a tired bitter person angry at the pilot group or the company. It has been decent for the most part.
Long answer short, it don’t like this bed, I’m moving on.

You guys just need to get your resume together and pull the trigger. If you have a clean PRIA and a 4 year degree it isn’t hard to find work that pays more than Mesa. Might even find yourself doubling Mesa salary 😜
put in 2 weeks notice once you have a job lined up. $36-$37 an hr isn’t the place to be after 12 months. 500 turbojet hours and you can get higher paying work. DM me and I’ll help
P.s. your sim hrs at initial and recurrent count towards your total time

Jesus...seriously? I can think of a ton of things. Either quit whining or find something else. Stop being a drama queen.

Working on that already. Working on a second degree, just checking this place out in the middle of writing papers. Putting resumes out and expecting a call back in January from at least a couple of places.
I wasn’t whining, I was looking for a little perspective. Because right now, here is mine. Currently spending about 15-20% of a paycheck to commute to a reserve job that gets called out about once a month. That paycheck has already been cut by about ten percent from previous reserve, and another 20% from previous flying pre-covid. I look at people on unemployment getting paid more than I am to look for a job.
I enjoy the internet, it truly shows a persons personality. Rather than possibly inject helpful thought you chose to personally attack me. I guess that is what makes you feel better at the end of the day, so you do you.

Rather than giving a little perspective you choose to attack people. Appreciate that.

All I’m trying to say is that we’re all in the same boat....trust me....nobody is personally attacking you.

It's none of my business what you decide to do re your careers. Good luck and God speed but I would urge each of you to pay more attention to detail regarding written communication skills. Reading through many of the threads and this one in particular, I cannot always follow what the author is trying convey due to grammar irregularities.
One little secret, oral and written communication skills are the major discriminators in financial compensation.
Not trying to criticize but take it for what it's worth.

If you are getting PIC I would stay until you crest over 1000 PIC and then leave. 1000 PIC 121 is all you need for the majors. Better off working another job like Flight Safety or CAE to get that instructor ticket or get your 4 yr degree if you don’t have one.
