No concessions, where is the IPO money where is the money from us always being lowest paid money from us staying in 2 star hotels. Stop giving to this company, scare tactic to make the MEC change tune. No way JO wants to pay for all those training events from displacements

I don’t think they’re going to able to duck the WARN notice requirement with these numbers. Even though the letter references oct-dec it also says anticipated furloughs “prior to the end of 2020” which would still give them a month to send notices.

You are living in something that will end up rivaling the Great Depression in terms of its long term impact. There is very little to be had in terms of jobs, and what little there is will have competition as if it where a spot at the big 3. Even that amazon warehouse job will have thousands of applicants for a handful of positions. So just know that by holding on to your imaginary line here you are dooming nearly 500 professional pilots to be thrown out into the employment crisis of the century.

Is it furlough on October first or by end of year? They still have plenty of time to give you a warm notice if it’s end of the year. If it’s October first that should give all of you guys that want concessions an idea of how management works.

Your martyrdom means nothing, it isn’t noble holding a line while nearly 500 of your “Colleagues” are kicked to the curb with bills to pay. Some of them with a mountain of student debt and a young family. It’s selfishness and not anywhere near as noble to throw your “brothers and sisters” to the wolves when it’s not just one company down but rather, and I do mean literally, the entire economy is on the verge of collapse not seen since the Great Depression. This isn’t a situation where these kids can go get a job at some 135 operator, or even indeed McDonalds. There isn’t anything out there for anybody. The music has stopped not just in the travel industry but across the entire economy. The prosperity is gone, and it’s not coming back anytime soon. If that sounds doom and gloom to you that’s because that’s exactly what this is.

Once again I come on here and am disappointed by what I read from my coworkers. You guys really think this is a negotiating tactic? Like it or not mesa is a family, we stuck together through 9/11 and 2008 and we'll do it again in 2020. This is just another example of an unprecedented time that we'll get through together. To think the company is usuing people's livelihoods as a negotiating tactic is disgusting. Mesa has treated us and our families well, if we can take a small reduction in pay to save our company, as well as our brothers and sisters on the line then why shouldn't we? Has 300% open time really made us this greedy? If you care about your company and your fellow pilots here call your reps and suggest a 50 hour line. Everyone gets paid and we all get a little more time off after a couple of crazy years.

Trying to keep a job vs trying to keep full pay while others suffer. Which of these is actually selfish? The one trying to keep everyone with some sort of income stream during a crisis? Or the one saying “F you, go to the bread line so long as my paycheck isn’t effected”?

If 60 can fix it, economy won't be that bad. If economy is real bad 60 won't come close to saving all the jobs, will need 30 or 20 hour guarantee.
