And if I end up getting furloughed, I’ll end up getting underpaid somewhere else anyway, I’d just rather get underpaid doing something I actually enjoy. Hopefully all this is moot anyway and they extend the PSP.
I’m sorry you had to deal with Obama, but you really should call JO’s bluff. If they furlough, it would be very short. If you stay within 12 months of employment the sim training required to get you back in the seat is an AQP and 2 legs of IOE. It’s really short, where as if it extends past 12 months, it’s the full training. He knows that and is scaring the pilot group. His desperation showed when he did negotiations in public by announcing the MOU during the conference call. He doesn’t want to furlough to lower the stock price. 20 ejets coming online. Let’s get the head in the game. No furlough means I get to keep my job, but I would rather work at FedEx as a delivery driver on furlough than give up any compensation.

read the requirements. Can’t get it if it was voluntary.

Unemployment Benefits

At present, the U.S. government and Texas legislature have not changed any laws or rules concerning unemployment benefits during the pandemic. However, Department of Labor guidance provides that federal law permits significant flexibility for states to provide Unemployment Insurance (UI) services related to COVID-19. Based on this, TWC will be waiving work search requirements for all claimants and the waiting week for those claimants affected by COVID-19.

Employers who have had to lay off employees or reduce their hours due to the COVID-19 pandemic need to tell TWC that the employees’ job separation or reduction in hours is due to the pandemic when they respond to a Notice of Application for Unemployment Benefits. Also, if the employer has laid off multiple employees, the employer can send ONE blanket employer response for all the affected employees. Employers should include their TWC Account Number on the response. TWC will apply the response to all the affected employees who have applied for benefits.

Employees whose work has been impacted by COVID-19, whether by a reduction in hours or a loss of their job, are encouraged apply for unemployment benefits online or call 1-800-939-6631. Employers can also utilize online filing for mass claims they file on behalf of employee groups laid off due to COVID-19.

Your hours are reduced to 20 hours.

Move me down to that NO list, sir. I’m not a starry-eyed fan with shiny jet syndrome. This isn’t my first jet, nor my last. I’ll do what I have to do to make ends meet in the meantime.

I applaud the unions effort but I don’t see myself for as a yes vote for this MOU. I don’t see concessions as a positive.

Tips to help the company and keep your pay.

CRJ tips:

-Start the APU approaching the ramp (GOM procedure) It takes 22 seconds to boot up. APU burns 300lbs of fuel an hour. 44.7 Gallons!
-After starting one engine, shut the APU down.

-Deselect one PACK. Again, less fuel! watch the ITT drop on Engine when you deselect the pack. We are entering winter.

-takeoff with the highest flex setting. FLEX is a reduced thrust takeoff setting. Lower ITT’s saves engine life. The computer takes snapshots of the oil px, ITT, oil temp once the plane is leveled off. This is trend monitoring. This type of care extends the life of the engines before overhaul of hot section or TBO.

don’t ride the brakes when taxing or slam on the brakes on a wet runway. Tends to make bald spots on the tires.

Regional "airlines" are and always will be just places to build hours so you can get a job at a real airline one day. You sound like the JO babyshark believing you are already an actual airline pilot and can win against the bad guys!

Lol. Propellere, you’re a nut. But I like your style. Add me to the NO list, even though I don’t get a vote yet.
