The height of summer just passed.
Express Jet and all their flying out of Houston will also be gone by Oct. 1st..
IAH base is shrinking from 4 Express carries down to 2.
If flying is reduced further, another reason to vote this down. There isn't any need to have 500 pilots on reserve.
Furloughs will be coming regardless!

And people keep forgetting about the 150+ on vloa. Seriously feels like some of these people haven’t noticed the fact there are no passengers..American is flying 45% of its schedule..United 40%. Mesa has money??..they’re bluffing?? They won’t furlough? Where do y’all think the money is coming from exactly? They will just pay us all to sit around not working indefinitely? Those saying no concessions it’s your money..how many hours have you been paid for in the last 5 months that you never worked? I can totally understand why the top maybe 1/4 of the seniority list would vote no. And the first year FO who wants out of their bonus contract who thankfully doesn’t have a say. But literally everyone else will be affected..downgrades, loss of health benefits..travel benefits. There’s nothing out there gents. Unemployment runs out fast. And then what? And please for the love of god..I don’t need to here prop tell us that he’s going to go through boxes at FedEx..don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
It’s a TEMPORARY solution. It doesn’t damage the industry in any way..what’s left of it..it’s a generous deal..especially for mesa..if you really take a look around. This isn’t a bluff. You’re not screwing the company by voting no. You’re screwing your coworkers..and before long you’ll realize you screwed yourselves too.

It’s for 3 months. Beyond that back to the drawing board. How long do I think the situation will last? Oh..I don’t know..til after the election?? Lol..or a vaccine?...at least up to a point where the industry won’t be bleeding out as bad..

I hear you..but we know that will never happen. At mainline maybe. Not here..for mesa..this seems generous..it’s SOMETHING..the industry is in turmoil..I’m surprised he’s willing to do anything..the training costs to bring people back or cross train are the only reason he’s doing anything at all.
