I think you answered your own question. Given United's stance, why would you even want to work for them?

No. Stop. Just get it.
There is zero reason to get it in 2023. It stops working after 6 months yes? So everyone vaccinated two years ago have no coverage now. Forcing people to get it now is basically just checking a box that they can be forced into compliance if needed.

Exactly this. I was just curious about aviate/vaccine since I hadn’t thought about that angle before. I’m well aware how “woke” United is, which is already a major deterrent to me. I’ll take my “multi-million dollar career” skills to another airline if United wants to continue to beat that dead horse.

Why would you get a shot that doesn’t prevent contraction of, spreading of, or severity of covid, but does cause a lot of health issues?

and your gen Z/leftist “stop” stuff is comical. You kids are too funny. Better go get another booster!

No vaccine, no class date. You’ll get a CJO. But no class date.

Default Time to upgrade?

With Aviate changing to 1200 PIC hours instead of 2000 TT, I am curious how this changes the expected timeline at a regional. Is it safe to say that it would be 1-1.5 years before cpt upgrade? And the total expected time at a regional would now be about 3 years?

The timeline quotes by United is 3.5-4 years. And it’s 1600 PIC for the new opt-in people.

I think soon, as the major and legacies hiring slows down, and regional CAs stay put, PIC won't be a requirement anymore and it will go back to just needing SIC time.

I’m curious as to why captain time requirement may go away.
