Can anyone say what the gross or take-home pay:
1) during Training
2) Once off IOE. I understand this number is all over the place but what would be an "average" during first year FO.
Im starting there soon and want to sit down with the loving wife to figure out the ol budget.
Also, I'm sure there will be a lot of smart ass remarks... but whatever. Thanks in advance for the serious replies.

air101 is correct on UAL scope. In order to add more 76 seat RJs than are already on order UAL would have to place a small narrowbody aircraft (defined as E190 or CSeries) at mainline or get rid of some 70 seat RJs.
Those of you who think that 30 E175 options are "earmarked" for Mesa need to realize that these options could also be "earmarked" to be converted to E190 orders for united.

All you haters crack me up.
12 months ago you all said Mesa wasn't getting the ejets... And we did.
People said upgrade times would never come down... And they did.
Then when they did (upgrade times) y'all said it doesn't matter because you have the worst contract in the industry ...(for the record rah and GoJets' is worse)
To those of us like myself that were hired in early 2013 ...we got on, we're upgrading then we'll have gotten out by 2016-2017.
You guys loathe this place and it cracks me up, the jealousy shows in all these negative posts.
Oh and Mesa is getting another 30 EJETs after the original 30.

The upgrade bypass rate on the CRJ upgrade is about 1 in 15. It's a mixture of E175 holdouts and/or an IAD aversion but the latest bid will probably be the one beginning to exclude all non-prior 121 bidders due to <1000 pt121 hrs. You're well into 2013 hires and they need 13-14 mo. to get the 1000 under 117. In my opinion, This is probably the biggest issue moving forward with addl. CRJ's. If they're considering any. It'll either be a brick wall or time for street CA's. Interesting from an analytical perspective.

Ok, so let's stay in the world of hypotheticals for a bit...Query: If, hypothetically, a person was hired now with over 1000 hrs. 121 SIC, how soon before said person's number comes up for upgrade...hypothetically? I'm sure it hinges on how many new hires within the last year have 121 time...hypothetically.

Someone in the training department predicted street captains by mid next year. Take it for what it's worth.

Realistically, a qualified FO hired now could upgrade ahead of FO's hired a year ago...wow!
Granted, he would keep sliding down the global list, but hey, turbine PIC in IAD is just as good as turbine PIC in PHX!
The 1000 SIC rule + FO's passing on upgrade could mean less than 12 months to the captain seat. Hypothetically.

Right now, dfw is only for the 900's. Over the next 12 months is the transition from clt to dfw. Rumor is that there will be other planes there eventually.
