Under the current contract, you can bid into an aircraft of higher pay. Since the CRJ's have aircraft that are 79 seats and all the E-Jets are 76 seats. There are no fences blocking me from bidding into a higher 79 seat pay scale. I know there's a seat lock for the first few years of DOH. Not sure what that is, been a while. Contract negotiations will try to get a blended rate to stop E-Jet guys going back to the CRJ. But as of right now I could bid to the higher pay scale of the CRJ. Would they let me? Probably have to grieve it.

Don't tell me such things. If there are jelly filled options, I'm in serious trouble. Hit me up on here man. Sounds like the 175 crew is gonna be great group to be a part of.

The 3-Holer or Trisaurus is the 727, named by Boeing, the "Whisper Jet". That's funny, the bird is the noisiest beast ever created. Deisel 9, your right it's the DC-9. Tritanic is the MD-11. Dork jet is the Dornier 328 or Do-Jet. EMB-180 is actually the EMB-170, it was re-named the 180 when first introduced. If the pilot did not let the P-bit test run before touching the controls you got an EICAS message, Flight Controls No Dispatch. Which was a return to the gate. The Death Tube or Terror Tube is the under powered Metroliner without the longer wings and before the Garrett -10 engines. Pretty much if you lost one engine on rotation your hands were full. Raising your feet at the end of the runway. Lawn Dart is the CRJ-9, just look at it. Mad Dog, the MD-80.

When Boeing designed the Trimotor, it was a Whisperjet, as nicknamed by EAL. The straight pipe 707 and DC-8, with water going, made the 727 sound like today's fanjets. The C-series is just about inaudible on take-off, btw.

I thought it had more to do with engine location. Nothing to do with outside noise. Since the engines were aft located the roar was not as audible inside the aircraft. But outside, well we have all heard them. I grew up on the approach end of runway 18 at Carswell AFB. At the time the largest strategic B-52 base in the country. I know what 8 straight pipe J-57 water injected engines sound like. Yes, your right, makes the 727 sound like a CRJ.

I will jump in on this since I started it. I was told by a very senior captain that is friends with way upper management that Mesa is in negotations for 20 E-Jets out of DFW for AA. Knowing that I might bid back to the CRJ for the DFW base he told me to hold tight. I was also told to keep it zipped but **** the bed.
