FBGM dawg
You just can't reason with these Skywest people.

They honestly believe somehow as a 5th year OO FO building tons of 121 SIC your better off than a 2nd year Mesa CA building turbine PIC.

It's hysterical. What's in the water at St. George?

I don't know but I'm going to encourage it so there's less competition to get into mainline.

Attention fellow APC posters:
Don't come to Mesa it really sucks here. Go to SKW instead and makes loads of coin and get excellent health insurance. Chicks dig the guy who works for SKW. And don't forget to come back to APC and post on the Mesa thread about how much life there sucks, because you would know since you've never worked at Mesa before.

So typical. You guys respond with personal attacks and name calling. You obviously choose your employer with the same maturity as your well-thought words. I'd be happy to check in in 5 years and see how you guys feel about your decisions. Again, not everyone is foolish enough to chase an upgrade.

By the way, my "shrinking company's" seniority list has grown every month since I started.

How long have you been in this game??? I think its precious that you presume you'll be interviewing at a major while someone is still in the right seat at SKW... I guess you've missed the fact many of our FOs have and continue to be hired to mainline and other corporate avenues. But hey, working for JO means everything.

FYI, if mins to be hired are 1500hrs then by your account he/she will have 2000hrs in 3yrs... Might want to bone up for the Hogan test now. You'll need it...

What are you trying to prove? Are you looking for some positive feedback on your decisions? I don't get the angle or what your point is.

Skywest will be a shell of itself by the time you can even catch a whiff of an upgrade. The writing is on the wall. It happened at Envoy, it's happening at Expressjet... Whenever DL is ready for it, it will most likely happen at Endeavor. "But but but, we're Skywest, the God's of the skies!" Get over it. Whether it's one year, three years, 5 years; the 50 seaters will go away. And they will not be replaced 1 for 1.

Look at all the Mesa guys hanging out in the Skywest forums...oh wait.

You Skywest guys are reinforcing the stereotype of skywest pilots being nerdy glasses wearing dorks that have nothing better to do than talk crap over a computer to the guys with the quick upgrade.

I've missed that cause it's not happening. Just because you know of a couple lucky well connected ones, doesn't give you the right to say "many." Corporate, sure... But in many cases that can be a lateral move, or even a decrease in QOL. But the average run of the mill regional FO is not getting picked up by the majors yet. The guys that are fortunate enough to be in that position are guys that were in the military, did internships, and are simply well connected.

Does anyone have a link to a current Mesa route-map? What cities do they fly to in Mexico and Canada? Does Mesa do any caribbean ops?
